Website information
Cookie notice
This page describes the browser storage used by the NODOA showcase website.
It remembers your animation setting and preserves your reading position when switching languages, rather than tracking browsing for advertising.
Website technologies
The application code sets no cookies and uses no localStorage, trackers, profiling tools or analytics. Fonts and images are served by the website; Instagram and TikTok are ordinary external links, not embedded feeds.
The two sessionStorage entries described below support features requested by the visitor.
Animation preference
The sessionStorage key “nodoa:animations-paused” remembers the choice to pause animations. It remains within the tab’s session, including reloads and language changes; the application sets no timed expiry. The browser may restore a tab’s session.
The device’s reduced-motion preference is read by the browser and is not used to force animation against that preference.
You can change your choice in Preferences. The website code does not send this stored setting to the server or use it for advertising.
Reading position when switching languages
When you switch languages, the sessionStorage key “nodoa:language-scroll” saves your chosen language, your position on the page and the time of the switch. This lets you continue reading in the same place. The website uses this information only if the switch was made no more than 15 seconds earlier, and removes it when Preferences is initialised on the page you open. The 15 seconds are not a deletion deadline: if Preferences is not initialised, the information may remain within the tab’s session.
Managing browser storage
This storage supports the features described; it is not used to track browsing on other websites. You can manage or clear the website’s data in your browser settings. Blocking storage does not prevent you from reading the pages, but may prevent preferences from being saved or the reading position from being restored.
